HORNSBY identity Mick Gallagher will stand for the position of Mayor at the next Hornsby Shire Council election, to be held on September 13.
``I am looking for genuine true independent candidates to run in the three council wards A, B, and C,'' he said.
Mr Gallagher served as a councillor, Deputy Mayor and Mayor during his four-year term, from 1991 to 1995.
